Tiny Violinist

Music can touch us in a way that nothing else can. No better gift can we give to the children than to open this door for them.”
                                             – Dr Montessori

I’ve been casually teaching my boys about music pretty much from the day they were born. Music, particularly classical, has been a huge part of my life & I always knew I’d try to pass that love along to my children. My ability to play/compose music has opened many doors for me, both in my career & in my own personal fulfillment, and I’m so grateful to my parents for giving me those opportunities by providing the gift of music education from a very young age; I began my training in music at age 3 ! With my oldest on the cusp of his 3rd birthday, I’m so excited to be able to now do the same for him.

1990-2018; Growing up in front of a piano

My oldest has been super receptive to it & now nearly every time I start to play piano in one room he’ll start playing on a piano in another…DUELING PIANOS ! He’ll even request to hear certain songs & has asked for a trumpet, violin & baby baby grand piano all his own. I hope his interest in music continues to grow, but for now, I’ll cherish these snapshots of his very first violin lesson (with someone other than me).
